The grass is always greener

Tired of looking at all those bare spots in your yard?  The seed you've sown just isn't sprouting?  Maybe it's time to look at sod installation.  Sometimes referred to as “instant grass”, sod is certainly an instant gratification installation.  (Say that three times real fast!).  While there are a variety of grasses that do well with sod installation, the decision may come down to whether or not you want a brown lawn in the winter time.  With warm season grasses like Zoysia and Bermuda, the grass goes dormant resulting in a brown lawn in the winter.  With cool season grasses like Kentucky Bluegrass and Tall Fescue, the lawn will be “less brown” during the winter.
